I am blessed to be able to work from home and raise my son along side my husband who also works from home. SnapTOT was thought of after I watched the movie “Founder” with Michael Keaton (amazing movie about the McDonald’s empire). As a strong believer of “The Secret” based on the Law of Attraction, I said after this movie — I want to create a business as big as McDonald’s so I can give job opportunities to other moms and dads.
Soon after during nap time when the house was quiet, I had an idea! What if parents took lifestyle photos of their kids wearing and using baby & kids products in exchange for free samples and money? You see, for almost a decade I have worked as a baby & kids brand publicist and marketer and realized that the most successful brands have two things in common to get HIGH VOLUME VIRAL SALES:
- Beautiful lifestyle photos of kids wearing/using their products, and
- Sales by word-of-mouth marketing.
Sure, companies can do photo shoots every time they need new, fresh photos, but this is very expensive. So why not give regular moms and dads like me special training on how to take beautiful lifestyle photos at home instead!? And by the way, in case you are reading this and are not a baby/kids company — the term “lifestyle” photo is the opposite of a “product” photo (a photo of just the product – usually against white background). So a lifestyle photo is a photo of someone using the product or a background scene – something in real life.
Plus, we discovered that moms sharing photos of products instead of a company having a photoshoot and the company sharing the photos is 100x better and drives more sales. SnapTOT is like having an army of moms share your products.
For the word-of-mouth sales part, I wanted to take SnapTOT to the next level beyond beautiful photos and parents getting paid money. After a Tot Member (that’s the parent of the tot) completes a booking (this means a company booked their tot to take photos, sent them free product in the mail, and the parent of the tot took 10 quality lifestyle photos of their tot using/wearing the product), they choose their favorite photo from that booking to share on Facebook and Instagram. The parent is provided with what to post so it’s easy copy and paste.
It’s cool because there is a giveaway so friends can enter to win the product they see in the photo – plus a deal code if they want to buy.
Speaking of shopping, we also take the best photo from each booking, and put it in our cool online shop. Shoppers can browse adorable tots and click on any photo that catches their eye. A page opens with:
- Product description,
- Giveaway link so they can enter to win,
- Price and deal offer, and
- Link to buy.
So SnapTOT™ has three audiences:
- Parents and influencers who want to make money and get free products for taking photos of their kids.
- Baby & Kids Companies who want to get beautiful lifestyle photographs and grow their business through our ViralGIVEAWAYS.
- Shoppers who want to see adorable kids and enter giveaways for cool products + get deals!
